Clarissa Ozuna, CI:Now Program Manager for Research, presented at the September 2016 partner meeting of the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) in Cleveland, OH. The Ignite (five-minute format) presentation titled Data Behind the Data: Using Metadata to Inform Data Collection Process Improvement focused on how to use metadata – data about the data – to improve data collection tools and processes.
CI:Now Director Laura McKieran joined Claudia Coulton from Case Western Reserve University, Sheila Martin from Portland State University, and Cindy Guy from the Annie E. Casey Foundation on a panel discussion at the September 2016 partner meeting of the National Neighborhood Indicators Partnership (NNIP) in Cleveland, OH. The purpose of the panel, NNIP’s 20th Anniversary: Celebrating the Past and Charting the Future, was to “learn about the origins of the NNIP network, reflect on how the network supports the critical contributions of current partners, and explore how the network can continue to evolve, while staying true to its founding principles.”

The new Alamo Regional Data Alliance (ARDA) has drafted its new vision: By establishing and supporting a culture of data-driven action, we will improve the quality of life of people in our region. Check out the draft Product Vision Board that lays out a roadmap to reach that vision. CI:Now provides staffing support to the ARDA collaborative.
