CI:Now awarded Santikos and SA Area Foundation grant for ARDA “backbone” staffing

CI:Now has been awarded a $100,000 grant from the John L. Santikos Charitable Foundation of the San Antonio Area Foundation to provide “backbone” staffing to the Alamo Regional Data Alliance throughout 2018. Much of CI:Now’s work will consist of staffing and facilitating the Steering Committee and Workgroups to be formed, assisting the Steering Committee in developing and launching a sustainability plan, communications and community engagement, organizing an annual convening, staffing the Steering Committee’s annual election, and overall coordination and logistical support. Thirty percent of the budget is allocated to the support of specific projects aligned with the Community Strategy.

CI:Now’s January 2018 newsletter includes new Viz-a-lyzer data and features, an announcement of a $100,000 San Antonio Area Foundation grant to CI:Now to provide “backbone staffing” to the Alamo Regional Data Alliance, SA2020‘s new 2017 Impact Report with data from CI:Now, a renewed partnership for CI:Now to provide data support to the SALSA collaborative, data on San Antonio families’ financial stability, and DataKind’s Data Maturity Framework project.

CI:Now continues data support to the San Antonio Area Foundation’s SALSA initiative

The San Antonio Area Foundation renewed its partnership with CI:Now to provide data support to the SALSA (Successfully Aging and Living in San Antonio) collaborative to improve and sustain quality of life for San Antonio’s growing older population. In addition to overall planning support, CI:Now’s role in 2018 is to assist SALSA’s Steering Committee and four Work Groups in targeting shared priority outcomes, defining indicators to measure progress on those outcomes, understanding the factors behind our current status and trends, prioritizing strategies to achieve the targeted outcomes, and developing and launching action plans.

SA2020 releases Impact Report 2017 with data from CI:Now

SA2020 has released its 2017 Impact Report, which includes indicator data collected and analyzed by CI:Now.  In addition to updated data, new this year are four new indicators, based on the SA Tomorrow planning process and additional community engagement, and profiles of San Antonio’s City Council districts. Recognizing that data alone doesn’t drive change, the report also grounds the data by offering context for local successes and challenges and direct calls-to-action.
