NOWTech

NOWTech is a partnership with the City of San Antonio to ensure that our community moves to and stays at the forefront of the tech revolution. NOWTech teaches adults how to use computers and the internet to improve their lives and those of their families.
The "digital divide" doesn't figure as prominently in headlines as it used to. But in many neighborhoods across the country, it remains a very real obstacle to full participation in an increasingly electronics-based world.
Neighborhood-based learning centers are one way to bridge this digital divide, taking the education to the neighborhoods where it’s most needed. In addition to computer literacy training, the centers also offer classes in English as a Second Language (ESL), G.E.D. (English and Español), English literacy and civics, and citizenship. The CTCs are open six days a week except for holidays.
Please visit the links at right to find locations and hours. NOWTech also takes the education to the people who most need it, regardless of where they live. By offering classes and one-on-one help at the Bob Ross and other area senior centers, every year NOWTech equips hundreds of our community’s elders to participate fully in the new world of computers and internet.
