The Show & Share was born out of many data users’ collective frustration at not knowing what local data resources for the San Antonio region were already online or in the works.

The Alamo Regional Data Alliance (ARDA) is a vibrant network of data professionals, leaders, and change-makers who share the common belief that individuals and organizations throughout the community should be informed by timely quality data when making decisions that impact their lives or the lives of those they serve.

The United States has counted its population every 10 years since 1790, with the very first use of the data being determination of representation in Congress. The goal is to count everyone once, only once, and in the right place.
